OpenAI’s ChatGPT bot is the hot new sensation in the tech town, amassing over a million users just days after its launch. The chatbot offers answers to many questions, exciting a lot with his ability and speed, but at the same time he sometimes leaves people behind amused and confused with its takeover. You’ve probably seen a lot of screenshots like this on your Twitter timeline, and maybe you’ve captured and shared some responses and had some fun yourself. Now two developers — Steven Tey and Dom Eccelston — have created a Chrome extension called ShareGPT to make it easier to capture and share AI responses with the world.
ShareGPT captures the entire ChatGPT conversation and generates a URL to share with others. So instead of taking multiple screenshots of your conversation with an AI chatbot, you can directly share a URL (like this one).
After installing the Chrome extension, go to the ChatGPT website and start a conversation with the bot. When you receive a reply, you will see a Share button at the bottom. You can continue the chat or click the Share button to generate a URL for a specific conversation.

What’s great is that when you share a URL on Twitter, you’ll see a preview of the conversation with ChatGPT, so the visual element isn’t lost and people don’t necessarily have to visit the site to read short conversations.
ChatGPT, currently in research preview, is free to use. And while it has linguistic and factual limitations, it’s still a fun tool to use. It’s one of those tools that allows anyone to test the performance (or weaknesses) of AI without having much technical knowledge.
