If you haven’t heard of the app, it offers a different take on fitness tracking. Apple’s stock Activity app rewards you for closing the Move, Exercise and Stand rings each day.
It does not take into account rest days when you are on vacation, sick or otherwise.
The app responds to your specific fitness level and then delivers optimal activity levels in a customized activity path.
With a tailored route, you’ll maintain your streak by staying somewhere on track and responding to your body’s actual needs, whether it’s rest, mild activity, or a more intense day.
You can display exercise information on your wearable device and monitor your fitness on the go.
During your workout, you can see your heart rate zones in real time and the immediate effect on your body. You can also adjust the intensity of the exercise for the best results. This way, you can increase or decrease your exercise to prevent exhaustion.
You can track more than 85 activities on Apple Watch. It will display statistics specific to the type of workout, such as duration, calories, distance, pace, and more. You can also lock the screen when you are in the pool or ocean.
And the app has just been updated with two handy new features.
Apple Watch Ultra users will be happy to hear that the app now supports the action button on the wearable. You can start and pause/resume your workout with the push of a button.
There’s also a new 2022 activity summary. This will show everything you’ve done this year, the distance you’ve covered and the total hours of activity.
Gentler Streak is for iPhone and Apple Watch and can now be downloaded for free from the App Store.
To take advantage of all the features of the app, you need a subscription. There are two options – $29.99 per year or $7.99 per month.
Family and lifetime subscription options are also available.
